My role and contribution

I’ve been working with the Rabobank team for a year. Each project has an agile approach where we start with a discovery phase and end the project with a Minimal Loveable Product. I have been involved with three projects, I can’t disclose too much information, but I can give you some insight into my day to day responsibilities.

Business & user needs

During the development of MLP’s an important role for me is to translate the business and user needs into something usable. Before I can make something I need to dive into both of them. That means meeting with the right people, challenging the “problem”, conducting workshops and do research. This way together we create a strong concept.

Convince the business

Each project within this team has to prove itself. That means user validation and design documentation is important. I involve the right people in my design process at the right time and make sure all my decisions are well thought off. So at the end of our project, we need to convince the business why this MLP should get more funding.

Design & build

At the start of the projects, it’s important to scope the requested features. I ask difficult questions to my team to make sure we can create something beautiful in the time we have. On a design level, there is a lot of freedom within Rabobank projects. We don’t have to stick too much to the existing libraries and components when it comes to new elements.
